Forge & Bow Featured in Modern Luxury Interiors Mountain: A Story of Design and Partnership

We are thrilled to share that Forge & Bow is currently featured in the February issue of Modern Luxury Interiors Mountain. The article, titled “Power Couple,” highlights the sixteen-year journey of our founders, Annie and Jordan Obermann. It offers a look at how their personal bond translates into the bespoke homes we build today.

From High School Sweethearts to Design Partners

The feature explores the roots of Forge & Bow, which stretch back to Annie and Jordan’s high school days. After years of building a life together in Chicago and attending Azusa Pacific University, they married in 2009. Their transition into the world of design was a natural evolution that began with a single house flip.

Today, they lead Forge & Bow with a shared aesthetic that they describe as timeless, warm, and nostalgic. This philosophy ensures that every project feels rooted in history while remaining functional for modern life.

The “Brakes and Gas” Dynamic

One of the highlights of the piece is the look at how Annie and Jordan work together daily. Annie describes their partnership by noting that she acts as the brakes while Jordan is the gas. This balance is what makes our design-build process so successful.

  • Jordan’s Role: He brings the bold spatial vision and leadership required to drive a project forward.
  • Annie’s Role: She provides the interior architecture expertise and the meticulous attention to detail that defines our finished spaces.

Inspired by the Colorado Landscape

The article also touches on how the natural beauty of Colorado informs our material choices. We prioritize local stone and kiln-dried woods to create homes that honor the surrounding environment. As Forge & Bow approaches its ten-year anniversary, the Obermanns remain focused on intentional growth and collaborative harmony.

We are incredibly grateful to Modern Luxury for capturing the heart of what we do. You can find the full four-page spread in the February print edition.
