PHASE 01
Forge & Bow will take a progressive approach to the design of your project. Starting with an initial meeting to better understand your personal aesthetic and goals, our designers will substantiate current conditions and measurements to ensure accuracy of the design. Additionally, a study of your personal style will be conducted (often through the sharing of visuals) to direct the design motif.
From there, the design will progress step by step; first starting with general layouts and concepts and slowly progressing through the details. You can expect several meetings in order to ensure that the design is meeting your fuctional and aesthetic goals. Upon the completion of the design, we will update the estimate to account for your design choices, offering Value Engineering if the estimate isn’t the right value.
PHASE 02
This phase is where we bring in our trusted trade partners for bids, allowing us to give you a final, fixed cost for your project. After receiving your non-refundable construction deposit, we will host a trade day at your property, allowing each relevant trade to inspect the house, ensuring accuracy in our numbers. Once the estimation is compiled, we will host a final Summit meeting where you are able to review your final design decisions and be presented with your final fixed cost budget. You will then be issued an amendment to the contract introducing the current design documents, as well as the budget. Lastly, we will create the Construction Documents needed for our Construction Team, and amend the contract with these as well.
PHASE 03
Time to build! During construction, our Project Managers provide full support, overseeing budget, schedule, and quality. Our Designers handle Construction Administration to ensure every detail we envisioned together comes to life. Once complete, we hand over your finished project – ready for years of enjoyment and memories.

We approach every project by seeking a strong connection between the architecture and the interiors, ensuring that our design concepts complement the home’s architectural style. That said, incorporating contrasting or unexpected design elements is always possible. Collaborating with our designers provides clarity and direction, helping you achieve a timeless design that reflects your personality, balances energy, and maintains longevity of style.
Additionally, our team can serve as your dedicated interior design partner, ensuring your new build is cohesive from the architectural vision to the final lived-in details.
Project schedules are determined by the scope of work and how different areas of the home relate to one another. As a general guideline, a typical kitchen renovation may take 1-3 months for design depending on complexity and adjacencies, then an additional 2-6 months for construction. You will receive a customized schedule tailored specifically to your project’s scope and site conditions.
During the design process, we gather details about your project, lifestyle, and goals. An initial budget is developed after the conceptual design is created, with your active input guiding the process. Once the architectural and interior designs are finalized, we can establish a final, accurate budget. It’s important to understand that project costs cannot be determined until we have a full understanding of your design and all its details.
