The owners of Yale long loved their charming mid-century ranch, but found themselves at a crossroads – love it or list it?

Wanting to stay in the home they’ve made their own, they partnered with Forge & Bow to reimagine the space through thoughtful design and updated functionality. The renovation focuses on refreshing the main level with all-new finishes, while exploring an addition that extends the dining room and adds a second story with a flex space, bedroom, and attached bath.

Design discussions centered around natural, timeless materials and warmth. The clients were drawn to wood cabinetry with dark countertops in the kitchen, appreciated the preservation approach in the guest bath with complementary tile-work. The project aims to enhance livability and energy efficiency while maintaining the home’s mid-century charm and creating a cohesive, modern aesthetic.
